The UWMP requires water suppliers to <br />describe and evaluate sources of water supply, efficient uses of water, <br />demand management measures, implementation strategy and schedule, and <br />other relevant information and programs. <br /> <br />Requests for proposal to prepare the UWMP were sent to six engineering <br />firms. Five responses were received and evaluated on technical merit by <br />a three-member selection committee. All six firms received passing <br />scores of 70 or higher. Listed below are the top three scores and <br />proposed fees. <br /> <br />FIRM SCORE FEE <br />PSOMAS 90 $42,599 <br />HDR Engineering 85 $42,300 <br />Ergun Bakall Consulting Civil <br />Engineer 81 $24,870 <br /> <br />Staff recommends that PSOMAS be retained for this project. They were the <br />top ranked firm based on technical merit, although did not provide the <br />lowest cost proposal. Their proposal demonstrated that the firm has <br />extensive experience with similar projects, a good understanding of the <br />project goals and objectives. <br /> <br />25J-1 <br />
