BRISTOL <br />STREET (PROJECT 1819) <br /> <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 1" Reading <br />o Ordinance on Zed Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Clear Channel Media for <br />the purchase of a billboard sign, located at 114 South Bristol Street, <br />totaling $19,403. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Bristol Street widening project from Pine Street to Third Street <br />requires acquisition of the property located at 114 South Bristol Street. <br />On May 17, 2004, the City Council adopted a resolution authorizing the <br />condemnation of the subject real property. Included in the real property <br />is a billboard which is owned and operated by Clear Channel Media. To <br />accommodate the widening, acquisition of the billboard sign is needed <br />(Exhibit 1). Continued negotiations between staff and Clear Channel <br />Media have resulted in an accepted offer to purchase the sign for <br />$19,403. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />project has been determined to be adequately evaluated in previously <br />prepared Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Assessment EIR <br />No. 89-01 approved by City Council in 1990. <br /> <br />25E-1 <br />
