As of June 1, 2005 all crane operators must be State <br />certified by this date, This requires our City crane operators to be <br />certified by means of a written and a practical exam. Staff received two <br />proposals for crane operation training: from Occupational Safety Training <br />Systems, Inc. (OSTS) and from Joshual Cassey, <br /> <br />Staff recommends that OSTS be retained for the required training. They <br />will provide a prep course, an on-site City written and practical exam <br />for a fee not to exceed $12,768. The Joshual Cassey proposal was 42 <br />percent higher in cost. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br /> <br />25G-1 <br />
