MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED ~ MEETING <br /> OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN~A ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />June 21, 1983 <br /> <br />At 4:44 p.m., the City Manager convened the meeting in Room 831, City <br />Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present were John Acosta, <br />Gordon Bricken, P. Lee Johnson, Patricia A. McGuigan, and Dan Young. <br />Also present were City Manager A. J. Wilson, City Attorney Edward J. <br />Cooper, and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. Vice Mayor Daniel E. <br />Griset and Mayor R. W. Luxembourger joined the meeting at 4:51 p.m., and <br />5:15 p.m., respectively. <br /> <br />The Council in~nediately recessed to Executive Session for discussion of <br />labor negotiations. <br /> <br />At 5:37 p.m., the Council reconvened, and recessed to the site of the <br />Santa Ana/Orange County Transportation Center, located at Santa Ana <br />Boulevard and Fruit Street, for groundbreaking ceremDnies. <br /> <br />Following words of welcome by Mayor Luxembourger and brief remarks by <br />representatives from the California Department of Transportation, the <br />Logan Neighborhood, the Santa Ana Chamber of Conmerce, the Blurock <br />Company, architects for the project, and the Ray Wilson Company, <br />construction firm for the project, Art Lloyd, Regional Director of <br />Public Information for AMTRAK, presented a plaque to former Mayor Gordon <br />Bricken, recognizing his major contribution to development of the <br />transportation center. <br /> <br />The Council and visiting officials then participated in a groundbreaking <br />ceremony, followed by a reception for those present which included <br />numerous State, County, and local officials, City staff, the public and <br />press. <br /> <br />At 7:30 p.m., the meeting was informally adjourned to 12:00 noon, <br />July 5, 1983, Room 147, City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. <br /> <br /> C e eoCf ' t eUYcounc il/ / <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />204A JUNE 21, 1983 <br /> <br /> <br />
