COUNCIL A6~SDA ITf~4S <br /> <br />Councilme~ber young complimented Mike Metzler, Director, Santa Ana <br />Chamber of Commerce, and Robyn Simpson of the City staff, for their <br />major contributions to the success of the recent Ambassador's Ball. <br /> <br />The Council recessed to Executive Session at 6 :~4 p.m., and reconvened at <br />6:17 p.m., with all m~mbers present. <br /> <br />The City Attorney reported that the City had submitted its last, best and <br />final offer relative to employee negotiations to the Police Benevolent <br />Association and indicated that the contract had not been accepted by the <br />Association to date. He also stated there was no need for a public <br />hearing on the matter. <br /> <br />Seth Kelsey, 16~ N. Broadway, provided each Councilmember with a copy of <br />a report entitled, "Santa Ana Police Deportment Alternative Patrol <br />Allocation Feasibility Study." He then addressed Council, /ndicating the <br />Police Benevolent Association's concern with the cap on m~dical benefits <br />and the need to amend the last, best and final offer to include <br />alternative manpower scheduling for police personnel. <br /> <br />George Sullivan, 3115 Serrano Drive, Carlsbad, addressed Council, <br />indicating that alternative manpower scheduling was feasible and would not <br />result in additional cost to the City. <br /> <br />Seth Kelsey again addressed the Council reiterating the Police Benevolent <br />Association position. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 364 NOVfF~ER 21, 1983 <br /> <br /> <br />
