The legislative body hereby finds that funds used to make the <br />payment to the county's Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund pursuant to <br />section 33681.12 would otherwise have been used to pay the costs of projects and <br />activities necessary to carry out the goals and objectives of the redevelopment <br />plan. <br /> <br />SECTION 8: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or word of <br />this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid by a court of competent <br />jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of <br />this Ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed and <br />adopted this Ordinance, and each and all provisions hereof, irrespective of the fact <br />that one or more provisions may be declared invalid. <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />11A-5 <br />
