Construction Noise Provisions According to the Noise Ordinance noise sources associated with construction, repair, remodeling, or grading of any real property are exempt from regulation, provided said activities do not take place between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, including Saturday, or any time on Sunday or a federal holiday. Existing Setting The project site is located at the southwest corner of MacArthur Boulevard and Main Street in the City of Santa Ana. Both MacArthur Boulevard and Main Street are heavily traveled roadway arterials. The project site is adjacent to the MacMain Plaza to the west and condominiums to the south the project site. Certain land uses are particularly sensitive to noise.
