Mr. Meza founded the <br />company in 2001 after working for Smartflex Systems as Director of Engineering <br />Operations. Since 2001, the company has been on an upward growth pattern, having <br />reached sales of 9 million dollars in 2004. <br /> <br />Mr. Meza started his company as a contract manufacturer, but decided to take advantage <br />of the talent of his staff, most of whom were Engineers who had been laid off by <br />Smartflex Systems when the company was sold. As a result, Mr. Meza concentrated on <br />contracts for the initial development of a company's product. The following are some of <br />the services available at FMi: <br /> <br />· New product introductions (NPI) for the electronics industry <br />· Engineering development related to advanced interconnect technologies <br />-cas (Chip on substrate) <br />-COF (Chip on flex) <br />-FCOF (Flip chip on flex) <br />· Full electronics testing including reliability <br />· Specializing in flexible substrate electronics assembly <br />· In house mechanical fabrication from CNC to EDM <br /> <br />Mr. Meza's business philosophy includes paying employees above the average of what <br />other employers are paying for similar positions, and making employees important <br />stakeholders of the company. Employees at Flexible Manufacturing are fully <br />empowered, and in the future will fulfill Mr. Meza's vision of becoming owners of the <br />company. <br /> <br />Mr. Meza is very interested in joining the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board.
