The City's current agreement for <br />maintenance at the 18 parks listed in Exhibit A will terminate on June 30, <br />2005. A Request for Proposal (RFP) for landscape and grounds maintenance <br />services at these 18 parks was issued to 16 landscape companies. A pre- <br />proposal conference was conducted and five vendors responded to the RFP. <br />DMS Landscape Services, Master Landscape and Maintenance, Midori Gardens, <br />TruGreen LandCare, and Valley Crest each submitted proposals for review. <br /> <br />An evaluation committee consisting of representatives from the Purchasing <br />Division, the Public Works Agency, the City Attorney's Office, and the <br />Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency rated the five proposals. <br />The committee rated each proposal based on the following evaluation <br />criteria: capability and experience, past performance, and cost of <br />proposal. <br /> <br />The rating and base cost of the proposals are as follows: <br /> <br />Company <br /> <br />Score <br /> <br />Base Cost <br /> <br />Midori Gardens <br />Master Landscape <br />DMS Landscape <br />TruGreen LandCare <br />Valley Crest <br /> <br />88.8 <br />79.6 <br />73.2 <br />70.0 <br />64.0 <br /> <br />397,976 <br />411,600 <br />541,260 <br />636,000 <br />827,412 <br /> <br />250-1 <br />
