MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> April 6, 1984 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m., by Mayor R. W. Luxembourger in <br />the Westwinds RoOm, Saddleback Inn, Santa Ana. Councilmembers present were <br />John Acosta, Gordon Bricken, Daniel E. Griset, P. Lee Johnson, Patricla A. <br />McGuigan, Dan Young, and Mayor Luxembourger. Also present were City Manager <br />Robert C. Bobb, Assistant City Attorney Richard Lay, Assistant Clerk of the <br />Council Nancy Byron Dean, a~d Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce Executive Director <br />Mike Metzler, as well as members of the Economic Development Corporation <br />Co~nittee and staff. <br /> <br />Following breakfast, the City Manager introduced John Crosby, Director of <br />Marketing, City Venture Corporation. <br /> <br />The Economic Development Corporation staff gave a slide presentation on Santa <br />Aha. <br /> <br />Mr. Crosby gave a slide presentation on City Venture Corporation, stating that <br />it was a for-profit consortiomprovidlngmanagerial, financial, and technical <br />resources for coranunity revitalization through small business development.
