Due to continuous use, the turf <br />on the field requires replacement periodically. Replacing the turf <br />restores the visual appearance of the field and results in an optimal <br />field condition for community use and City events. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on April 22 and 25, 2005, and <br />bids were solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received <br />is as follows: <br /> <br />26 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />2 Bids received <br /> <br />Bids were received, opened on May 24, 2005, and evaluated. The bid <br />received from The Turf Company, Inc. is responsive to the specifications <br />and meets the City's requirements.
