Award a contract to Fleming Environmental, Inc., the lowest <br />responsible bidder, in accordance with a lump sum prices for the base <br />bid plus bid alternates one, two, and three in the amount of $319,000 <br />for construction of the Centennial Regional Park Playground <br />Renovation. <br /> <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $384,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The playground facilities at Centennial Regional Park are in need of <br />upgrades and renovation (Exhibit 1). This project includes installation <br />of new playground equipment, drainage sumps, sand, rubberized surfacing, <br />and walkway improvements. Once completed, the project will enhance <br />recreational opportunities for children in adjacent neighborhoods and for <br />all children in the City. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on March 30 and April 1, 2005, <br />and bids were opened on April 22, 2005.
