RITCHEY STREET Recommended for denial by the Planning Coramission on April 23, 1984, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Uno, Hart, Bartelt, Savage, LaFlarmue None Godinez, Miller Filed by Gannett Outdoor Advertising Company Inc. of Southern California to penuit one off-premise outdoor advertising si~l, 54 feet in height, in the M1 District, and to waive the requir~mlent prohibiting advertising signs within 500 feet of a freeway when viewed primarily from a freeway, at 1969-2019 S. Ritchey Street. The Mayor opened the public hearing on Negative Declarations and Appeal No. 479 - Conditional Use Permit 82-20; and Appeal No. 481 - Variance 82-21 - 1969-2019 S. Ritchey Street. The Director of Planning and Development Services presented the staff report and recon~r~ndations. The Clerk of the Council reported no written conm~unications. The following persons spoke in favor of Appeal Nos. 479 and 481: R. E. Ba~u, 106 Collins Sherry Bennett, 1731 Workman St., Los Angeles. There were no other speakers on the matter. The Mayor closed the public hearing. MOTION: Approve and file Negative Declarations, and instruct the City Attorney to prepare a resolution denying Appeal Application Nos. 479 and 481, denying CUP 82-20 and VA 82-21, and affirming the decision of the Planning Cor~uission.
