In addition, the Public Works <br />Agency uses chemicals to control the growth of algae in the City's sewer <br />system and water wells. The fertilizers and water treatment chemicals <br />are purchased through the Central Stores warehouse for distribution to <br />the agencies. The contracts for fertilizers and water treatment <br />chemicals are designed to provide quality products at significant savings <br />based on quantity pricing. <br /> <br />221-1 <br />
