COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />CHARTER AMENDMENT ALTERNATIVES - MAYOR'S SALARY <br /> <br />(Requested by Councilmember Acosta.) <br /> <br />The City Attorney explained two alternatives regarding ballot <br />measures for increasing the Mayor's and/or Councilmembers' <br />compensation. <br /> <br />The Mayor instructed the City Attorney to draft language for the <br />November ballot which would provide for a percentage differential <br />between the Mayor's and Councilmembers' salaries and two <br />alternates~-one providing an increase for the Mayor only and the <br />second, an increase for both Mayor and Councilmembers. <br /> <br />At 5:40 p.m., the Council recessed to dinner and reconvened at <br />7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers atrium for an unveiling ceremony for <br />the All-America City Bronze Plaque. <br /> <br />Following the ceremony, the Mayor called the meeting to order at <br />7:55 p.m. in the Council Chambers with all members present. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING 259 JULY 2, 1984 <br /> <br /> <br />
