MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />August 21, 1984 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m., by Mayor R. W. <br />Luxembourger in the Council Chambers, 22 civic Center Plaza. <br />Councilm~nbers present were John Acosta, Gordon Bricken, P. Lee <br />Johnson, Dan Young and Mayor Lux~abourger. Also present were City <br />Manager Robert C. Bobb, City Attorney ~ward J. Cooper, and <br />Assistant Clerk of the Council Nancy Byron Dean. Councilmembers <br />Daniel E. Griset and Patricia A. M~Guigan were absent. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />INVOCATION - Mayor R. W. Lux~nbourger <br /> <br />iA. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING - CITY COUNCIL & COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT <br /> AGENCY <br /> <br />PROPOSED SALE BY THECOM~UNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO CM PLAZA <br />OF THE A-3 SITE/OLD COURTHOUSE PLAZA. THE PROPERTY IS BOUNDED ON <br />THE NORTH BY SANTA ANA BOULEVARD, ON THE WEST BY BROADWAY STREET, <br />ON THE SOUTH BY FIFTH STREET, AND ON THE EAST BY SYCAMORE STREET. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the publichearing regarding the proposed sale <br />by the Comnunity Redevelot~nent Agency to CM Plaza. <br /> <br />The Principal Real Estate Officer presented the staff report and <br />reco~mendatiom~. <br /> <br />James Meehan, (IM Plaza, presented a slide presentation on the <br />proposed project. <br /> <br />The Assistant Clerk of the Council reported no written <br />cor~nunications. <br /> <br />Rob Richardson, 1920 N. Sherry Lane, representing Heritage Orange <br />County and Scott Morgan, 1521-H S. Raitt, representing the Santa <br />Ana Historical Preservation Society, spoke in favor of the sale. <br /> <br />There were no other speakers on the matter. The Mayor closed the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Adopt resolution and instruct staff to form an ad hoc <br />committee comprised of interested historical groups such <br />as L.I.S.A., Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society, <br />and Heritage Orange County for their input on <br />final design of the project and materials used. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />335 <br /> <br />AUGUST 21, 1984 <br /> <br /> <br />
