FOR <br />NATIONAL POLUTION DISCHARGE <br />ELIMINATION SYSTEM INSPECTION <br />SERVICES <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVED <br />o As Recommended <br />o As Amended <br />o Ordinance on 15t Reading <br />o Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />o Implementing Resolution <br />o Set Public Hearing For <br /> <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />_FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with <br />Geomatrix Consultants Inc. in the amount of $100,000 for a total contract <br />in the amount of $500,000 to provide National pollution Discharge <br />Elimination System inspection services. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Public Works Agency is responsible for the implementation of the <br />City's National Pollution Discharge Elimination System stormwater permit. <br />In accordance with the City's permit requirements, all high priority <br />industrial sites need to be inspected annually, medium priority <br />industrial sites inspected semi -annually, and low priority commercial <br />sites inspected once every three years. <br /> <br />On October <br />Consultants <br />Although the <br />increase in <br />October 2005 <br /> <br />4, 2004 City Council approved a contract with Geomatrix <br />Inc. for inspection of commercial and industrial facilities. <br />City had met the required timelines set by the permit, an <br />the contract amount is needed to complete this task by <br />as outlined in the City's stormwater permit. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br /> <br />250-1 <br />
