MOTION: Reconsider Appropriation Adjustment No. 16. <br /> <br />MOTION: Griset <br /> <br />SECOND: Young <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Griset, Johnson, Young <br />Acosta, Bricks, Luxembourger <br />McGuigan <br /> <br />The motion failed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bricken expressed his confidence in the Rose Parade <br />Committee and explained it was his understanding that the appropria- <br />tion was made in the form of a loan, and that he did not wish to <br />place the committee or himself in a position to be attacked if the <br />money were not repaid. Councilmembers pointed out that a <br />"best-effort" attempt should be made to repay the City but the <br />Cor~nittee would not be held responsible should fund raising efforts not <br />meet expectations. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Bricken then informed the Council that the design stage <br />of the float was cempleted and that live cast selection would begin <br />next week. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />The Council recessed to Executive Session from 8:54 p.m. to <br />8:58 p.m. <br /> <br />There was no action taken out of Executive Session. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />At 8:58 p.m., the meeting was adjourned to 7:00 p.m., September 13, <br />1984, Antonello's Restaurant, 3800 S.
