<br />utilize federal funding to enhance local readiness, maintain first responder <br />safety, and streamline incident management processes. <br /> <br />F. Failure to adopt the NIMS as the requisite emergency system may <br />preclude reimbursement to the City for costs expended during and after a <br />declared emergency or disaster and for training and preparation for such <br />disasters or emergencies. <br /> <br />G. The Incident Command System components of the NIMS are already an <br />integral part of various incident management activities throughout the City, <br />including current emergency management training programs. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City of Santa Ana hereby establishes the National Incident <br />Management System as the City standard for preparing for and responding to disaster <br />incidents. <br /> <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 5th day of Julv 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Joseph W.
