NS-2689 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 36-488 <br />OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING <br />TO DISPLAY OF PERMITS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. Currently, Section 36-488 requires a parking permit to be <br />permanently affixed to the left rear bumper of a vehicle. <br /> <br />1. Due to the potential damage such affixation can cause to <br />vehicle bumpers it is appropriate to amend the code to allow <br />permit parking residents to affix their parking permit to either <br />the left rear bumper or the left rear window of a vehicle. <br /> <br />B. All provisions of the Santa Ana Municipal Code which are repeated <br />herein are repeated solely in order to comply with the provisions of <br />section 418 of the Charter of the City of Santa Ana. Any such <br />restatement of existing provisions of the Code is not intended, nor <br />shall it be interpreted, as constituting a new action or decision of <br />the City Council, but rather such provisions are repeated for <br />tracking purposes only in conformance with the Charter. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 36-488 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />to allow parking permit district residents to affix their parking permit to either the left rear <br />bumper or the left rear window of a vehicle: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-488. Display of permits. <br /> <br />(a) A parking permit issued pursuant to this article (other than a guest <br />parking permit) shall be permanently affixed to either the left rear <br />bumper or the left rear window of the vehicle for which it was <br />issued. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. NS-2689 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
