Award a contract to All American Asphalt, the lowest responsible <br />bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices for the estimated amount <br />of $1,333,333 for construction of Main Street Rehabilitation between <br />Warner and Columbine Avenues. <br /> <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $1,666,200. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The segment of Main Street between Warner and Columbine Avenues has been <br />identified as a high priority in the City's Pavement Management System. <br />The pavement is deteriorating due to weather, age and heavy usage. Some <br />of the adjacent curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveway approaches are <br />also in various states of disrepair and require replacement. <br /> <br />This project provides for construction of new street pavement, <br />replacement of damaged concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, cross gutters, <br />driveway approaches and curb ramps. Once completed, these improvements <br />will enhance the ride quality, surface drainage and visual appearance of <br />the street. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on June 8 and 10, 2005 and bids <br />were opened on July 7, 2005. A summary of the bid invitations mailed, <br />the bids received, and the bid results follows. <br /> <br />23A-1 <br />
