MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />Nov~m~ber 20, 1984 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m., by Mayor R. W. Luxembourger, <br />in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilm~mbers <br />present were John Acosta, Gordon Brick~, Daniel E. Griset, P. Lee <br />Johnson, Patricia A. McGuigan, Dan Young, Mayor Luxembourger, and <br />Councilm~mber-elect Wilson B. Hart. Also present were City Manager Robert <br />C. Bobb, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. <br />Guy. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG <br /> <br />INVOCATION - Reverend Mike Pulsifier <br /> First Presbyterian Church of Santa Ana <br /> <br />CERTIFICATION OF CANVASS OF ELECTION <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy presented the: Certificate of Canvass <br />completed November 19, 1984 by the Orange County Registrar, confirming <br />the election results as follows: <br /> <br />Wilson B. Hart elected to represent Ward 1 by a total of <br />19,848 votes for the term ending in November, 1988. <br /> <br />John Acosta elected to represent Ward 3 by a total of 27,945 <br />votes for the term ending in November, 1988. <br /> <br />Daniel E. Griset elected to represent Ward 5 by a total of <br />20,781 votes for the term ending in November, 1988. <br /> <br />Patricia A. McGuigan elected to represent Ward 7 by a total <br />of 24,197 votes for the term ending in November, 1988. <br /> <br />Measure Q - Compensation of Mayor by Ordinance of the City, <br />was defeated by the following vote: Yes - 18,193; No - 29,112. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATION OF ELECTION RESULTS <br /> <br />MOTION: Adopt resolution. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-145 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN <br />SAID CITY OF NOVEMBER 6, 1984. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />447 <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 20, 1984 <br /> <br /> <br />
