I <br /> <br />~ ~;:~t:tiR(J <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />, / <br />V RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with the Creighton D. Hunter <br />and Betty A. Hunter Family Trust and the Orgeron Family Trust for the <br />purchase of 1249 W. First Street, in the amount of $805,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />As part of the Bristol Street widening proj ect from Pine to Third <br />Streets, it is necessary to acquire the Hunter/Orgeron property located <br />at 1249 W. First Street (Exhibit 1). The property was occupied by <br />Apollo Muffler and Radiator Services. <br /> <br />The City Council approved the relocation agreement with the tenant in <br />February 2005 and the property is currently vacant awaiting the <br />demolition process. The Public Works Agency has negotiated and reached an <br />agreement with the owners for the appraised price of $805,000. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />project has been determined to be adequately evaluated in previously <br />prepared Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Assessment ErR <br />No. 89-01 approved by City Council in 1990. <br /> <br />25A-1 <br />
