PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Written Communication — letter received from the Airport Land Use <br />Commission for Orange County detailing the action taken by the <br />Commission at its meeting of June 16,2005. <br />Theresa Delvac and Richard Merritt addressed the Council in opposition <br />to the project, citing concerns related to increased traffic and the height of <br />the proposed towers and the proximity to the Orange County Airport <br />Mark Pfeifer, representing the DoubleTree Club Hotel, noted that the Hotel <br />did have concerns relative to insufficient parking in Hutton Centre but that <br />the developer was working with the Hotel to address these concerns. <br />Cory Alder, representing the developer, addressed the Council in support <br />of the project <br />Public Hearing Closed <br />Motion: 1. Adopt a resolution. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-063 — A resolution of the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana certifying and approving the environmental impact <br />report, approving a mitigation monitoring program, and adopting <br />certain facts, findings and a statement of overriding considerations for <br />the property located at 1, 9, and 10 East Hutton Centre Drive and 101 <br />East Sandpointe Avenue (MacArthur Place South Project) <br />2. NS-2690 - An ordinance of the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana adopting the Hutton Centre Mixed Use Specific <br />Development District (SD-76) and rezoning the property located at 1-7 <br />and 9-11 East Hutton Center Drive and 101, 200, 201 and 203 East <br />Sandpointe Avenue from General Commercial (C2) Zoning District to <br />Hutton Centre Mixed Use Specific Development District (SD-76) <br />(AA NO. 2005-01) <br />3. Place ordinance on first reading as amended and authorize <br />publication of title.
