Residents <br />with driveway widths that exceed the width of the garage would be asked <br />to remove this excess pavement unless it had been previously permitted <br />by the City. <br /> <br />Should the Commission choose this alternative, staff would recommend <br />that the entire second driveway be limited to a location within 15 feet <br />of the side property line opposite the primary driveway. Staff <br />recommends that the width of the secondary driveway be limited to 10 <br />feet. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVE 2 <br /> <br />Approve the variance request for a primary driveway that exceeds the <br />width of the garage, and approve the variance for a driveway that does <br />not lead to a garage (second driveway) as requested by the applicants. <br /> <br />Should the Commission choose this alternative, the variance would allow <br />those owners who have applied to construct a second driveway and to have <br />a driveway that exceeds the width of their garage.
