CITY ANA R <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Approve an appropriation adjustment recognizing $152,235 in the State of <br />California Land and Water Conservation Fund grant revenue account (account <br />no. 156-01-5350-2) and appropriate same to the Land and Water Conservation <br />Fund expenditure account (account no. 156-347-6631) for picnic shelter <br />improvements at Centennial Park. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency was <br />successful in receiving a $152,235 Land and Water Conservation Fund grant <br />from the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation for the <br />replacement and installation of picnic shelters at Centennial Park. The <br />seven existing shelters, which provide tables and shade for picnics, <br />birthday celebrations and leisure activity, are in very poor condition and <br />in need of replacement.
