MINUTES OF THE REGULJ~R MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />March 4, 1985 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 1:17 p.m., in Ro~m 147, Council <br />Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Daniel E. Griset. <br />Councilmembers present were Wilson B. Hart, P. Lee Johnson, R. W. <br />Luxembourger, Patricia A. McGuigan, Dan Young and Mayor Griset. Also <br />present were City Manager Robert C. Bobb, City Attorney ~dward J. <br />Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. Councilmember John <br />Acosta joined the meeting at 1:20 p.m. <br /> <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />Transition Report <br /> <br />The City Manager provided an overview of his proposed reorganization <br />of City departments,indicating that the Transition Report prepared by <br />his office identified specific needs relative to personnel and struc- <br />ture of the organization, and that adoption of the plan would assist <br />in carrying out the 17-point program proposed by the Council at its <br />February 22-23, 1985, workshop. <br /> <br />Deputy City Managers Jan Perkins and Rex Swanson reviewed changes <br />proposed in their respective areas of Operations and Development, and <br />also responded to Councilmembers' questions. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Refer to staff, for analysis and rec~,~,endaticn, <br />and possible inclusion in the 1985/86 budget, a <br />position for a City Health Inspector. <br /> <br />MOTION: Luxembourger SECOND: McGuigan <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Acosta, Griset, Hart, Johnson, Luxembourger, <br /> McGuigan, Young <br />None <br />None FILE 505 <br /> <br />The Executive Director of Ccamunications and Marketing reported on <br />changes which were being proposed in her area, and responded to <br />Councilmembers' questions. <br /> <br />The Council recessed at 3:37 p.m., and reconvened at 3:50 p.m., with <br />all members present. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 86 MARCH 4, 1985 <br /> <br /> <br />
