Agreement For Police Digital <br />Evidence Management System <br />July 5, 2005 <br />Page 2 <br />On May 5, 2005, the City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Digital <br />Photographic, Video, and Audio Evidence Management System. Requests for <br />Proposals were mailed to five vendors and advertised in the Orange County <br />Register on May 9th and 11th 2005. A total of two proposals were received. <br />Each of the proposals were reviewed by staff members of the Technology and <br />Support and Investigations Bureaus and were evaluated on the following <br />criteria: (1) responsiveness to the RFP, (2) ability to meet production <br />schedule within required timetable, (3) infrastructure, hardware and <br />software systems and configurations, (4) quality and number of references, <br />(5) demonstrated ability to provide comparable services as requested in the <br />RFP, (6) level of service proposed, (7) maintenance plan, (8) financial <br />stability and resources, and (9)pricing. <br />The evaluation ratings for the two vendors are as follows: <br />Linear Systems <br />Dataworks Plus/Imaging Products Inc. <br />RATING <br />79.40 <br />58.4% <br />The recommended vendor, Linear Systems, received the highest percentage in <br />the scoring process and met or exceeded the evaluation criteria. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the 2004 UASI Grant Other Contractual Services <br />Account (account no. 125-331-6291-33103). <br />Paur M.
