RFP 05-051 <br />2. Proposer shall submit qualifications as to the strength and stability of their firm (see <br />Exhibit A). <br />3. Proposer shall describe their experience in providing similar services to other law <br />enforcement facilities and provide reference contacts and phone numbers for these <br />locations. <br />2.14 Proposal Opening and Validation: Proposals shall be opened and examined for the <br />presence of the required information outlined in this RFP. Absence of required <br />information may render the proposal non-responsive and be cause for rejection. <br />2.15 Bonds: Prior to executing an agreement with the selected Proposer, the City shall require <br />the Proposer to submit performance and payment bonds in amounts equal to the <br />Proposer's annual charge for services. Cash deposit, certified check, cashier's check or <br />money order may be submitted in lieu of a bond. Bonds shall be submitted within twenty <br />(20) days of notification of award. <br />1. Bid Bond: Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's <br />check payable to the City of Santa Ana, or bid bond issued by a corporate surety <br />for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate of the bid as a <br />guarantee that the Proposer will enter into the proposed contract if the same is <br />awarded to him. <br />2. Performance Bond: Before execution of a contract by the City, the successful <br />Proposer shall file with the City, a "Performance Bond" (Exhibit C ) for 100% of <br />the contract price to guarantee faithful performance of work, within the time <br />prescribed, in a manner satisfactory to the City. The bond shall be executed by <br />the successful Proposer and returned within twenty (20) days (not including <br />Saturdays or Sundays, or holidays) after the successful Proposer has received <br />notice that the contract has been awarded.
