File Naming Scheme in DIMS <br />An image downloaded on July 5, 2005 at Station 3 <br />would have a filename of 5653 followed by four more <br />numbers, such as 1629, so It would show up as <br />56531629 and an 'A" next to it in DIMS. Another file <br />downloaded immediately after that would show up as <br />56531630, 56531631, and so on. <br />Letters in Filenames <br />In order to preserve the 8 -character filename length, the <br />numbers 0-9 are used fust, followed then by letters (e.g. A is <br />10, B is. 11, C is 12, etc.). A quick glance at the filename <br />tells one when an asset was downloaded and at what station <br />it was downloaded. <br />
