The <br />agreement provides on-site medical staff 24 hours a day, in addition to a <br />doctor on call. CMCMC conducts daily sick calls, dispenses medication, as <br />well as assists in the intake of incoming inmates to assess for entrance <br />acceptability. Additional services such as dental care, radiology, <br />ophthalmology, OB/Gyn, psychiatric crisis intervention and emergency <br />medical billing services are also included. These medical services are <br />required and governed by State law under the California Department of <br />Corrections Title 15 requirements. <br /> <br />CMCMC has performed satisfactorily during the previous term and staff <br />recommends exercising the first year renewal option of the agreement. <br />Their understanding of the jail operations and the contracting housing <br />agencies has resulted in a high level of service. <br /> <br />25E-1 <br />
