Place within a lOO-year floodplain structures which <br />would impede or redirect flood flows? <br /> <br />Potentially Significant Unless Mitigation Incorporated <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana is a participant in the National <br />Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Communities participating <br />in the NFIP must adopt and enforce minimum floodplain <br />management standards, including identification of flood <br />hazards and flood risks. Participation in the NFIP allows <br />communities to purchase low cost insurance protection <br />against losses from flooding. <br /> <br />The published Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) for the <br />project site is included on Community Panel No. <br />0602320256H. The project site located in Zone AOl, and <br />subject to lOa-year flood risks. To minimize potential <br />flood hazards the following mitigation measure shall be <br />implemented. <br /> <br />Mitigation Measure <br /> <br />· Grading and building plans for the project shall <br />reflect that the lowest finish floor elevation of any <br />structure shall be one foot above the highest adjacent <br />grade for the AO-l zone and at least as high as the <br />depth number specified for the AE Zone on the flood <br />insurance rate map. All elevations must be referenced <br />to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum. Reference <br />should be made to the Flood Plain Management Ordinance <br />for complete requirements, Santa Ana Municipal Code, <br />Chapter 7. <br /> <br />IX. LAND USE/PLANNING <br /> <br />A.
