The City Manager expressed the opinion that the redevelol~aent process had <br />been responsible for many of the City's recent construction and <br />reconstruction projects, and ~nphasized the need for the City to undertake <br />a bond issue to fund additional construction projects. <br /> <br />The Council recessed at 7:15 p.m. and reconvened at 7:25 p.m., with the <br />same m~mbers present. <br /> <br />The Director of Econc~ic Development provided a brief update on the <br />Centerpointe project, including review of the site plan drawings, uses on <br />the site and funding possibilities for those uses. <br /> <br />60. He reviewed major accomplishments of <br />the Department for 1984-85, and discussed proposed projects for 1985-86 in <br />each program area of the Agency. <br /> <br />Councilm~nbers questioned the Director briefly on several of the proposed <br />progr~s and projects. Councilmember Young stated that his major areas of <br />inquiry relative to the Agency budget would be sources of fueding for the <br />Zoo expansion, the Bowers Museu~a expansion and park improvements.
