ORAL COFi~3N ICAT IONS <br /> <br />Dawn Dalton, 16327 Mt. Emma, Fountain Valley, representing the Santa <br />Ana Fire Departn~ent Family Support Group, addressed Council, request- <br />ing assistance with reducing stress and raising morale among Santa Ana <br />Fire Department members. The City Manager agreed to meet with repre- <br />sentatives of the Family Support Group iranediately following the Coun- <br />cil meeting. <br /> <br />William Druitt, 516 West Santa Clara, addressed Council, requesting <br />that the diverters included in the North Central Santa Ana <br />Neighborhood Traffic Protection Plan be implemented as scheduled. The <br />Mayor explained installation of the diverters would be delayed pending <br />evaluation of the impacts of the opening of the Broadway overpass. <br /> <br />Louis Horowitz, 17541 East Seventeenth Street, addressed Council, <br />alleging that the Santa Ana Fire Department performance had been <br />substandard at the recent Pioneer Shopping Center fire and requesting <br />relocation benefits for the tenants; the matter was referred to the <br />City Manager. <br /> <br />Brad Barnett, 810 Calle Mendoza, San Clemente, a Santa Ana Fire De- <br />partment employee, addressed Council, stating that Santa Ana Engine <br />Companies were inadequately manned and firefighters insufficiently <br />trained. The City Manager responded that program adjus~nents were <br />proposed in the 1985-86 budget to strengthen not only fire <br />suppression, but training and fire prevention. <br /> <br />Joanie Barr, 2012 N. Heliotrope, addressed Council, requesting that <br />the diverters included in the North Central Santa Ana Neighborhood <br />Traffic Protection Plan be installed. <br /> <br />Barbara Taylor, 2620 N. Flower, requested that the letters from <br />residents relative to traffic complaints in the North Central Santa <br />Ana Neighborhood be filed in both the Broadway Overpass and Westdome <br />files.
