". //) <br />, .i/.'/ <br />lbt ,<v .~ Ja'~ <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />CONTINUED TO <br /> <br />----, <br /> <br />FILE NUMBER <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Award a contract to Quality Chevrolet for the purchase of a one-ton <br />utility truck in the amount of $29,504.50. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Fleet Maintenance Division's annual Equipment Replacement Program <br />is included in the City's annual budget, and identifies vehicles <br />scheduled for replacement. Funding is monitored through a depreciation <br />schedule established with each department. <br /> <br />Parks, Recreations and Community Services Park Service Division <br />utilizes a one-ton truck with a lift gate for general maintenance and <br />lighting repair in the 38 parks, stadiums and facilities in the city. <br />Due to age, mileage and condition, a 1994 Chevrolet truck has been <br />approved for replacement in the current fiscal year. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on September 2 and 7, 2005, and <br />bids were solicited.
