The WIA' s <br />5 primary purpose is to provide workforce investment activities that increase <br />6 the employment. retention. and earnings of the participant. and increase <br />7 attainment of occupational skills by participants. <br />8 4.13 Workforce Investment Board (WIB): A consortium of local business <br />9 and community leaders who shall provide policy guidance and oversight to a <br />10 local Workforce Investment Plan that is responsive to the workplace needs of <br />11 business and job seekers alike. <br />12 4.14 Workforce Investment Plan: A local plan created under the WIA. <br />13 and administered by the WIB on behalf of CONTRACTOR. that provides a <br />14 coordinated mix of services that best meets the workforce investment needs of <br />15 the local labor market. <br />16 5. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. STAFFING <br />17 5.1 CONTRACTOR agrees to provide those services. facilities. equipment <br />18 and supplies as described in the exhibits to the Agreement Between County of <br />19 Orange and City of Santa Ana, for the Provision of Welfare-To-Work Employment <br />20 Servi ces. attached hereto and incorporated herei n by reference: Exhi bi t "A" <br />21 relating to Community Service Activities. and Exhibit "B" relating to Work <br />22 Experience Activities. <br />23 5.2 Subject to thirty (30) days advance notice. ADMINISTRATOR may. in <br />24 its sole discretion. require changes in staffing patterns in accordance with <br />25 workload demands related to the number of clients to be served. <br />26 5.3 Upon the request of ADMINISTRATOR, CONTRACTOR shall send <br />27 appropri ate staff to attend an ori entat ion sessi on and subsequent trai ni ng <br />28 sessions given by COUNTY. <br /> <br />(WSH060SJ <br /> <br />7 of 37 <br /> <br />(March 7. 200S) <br />
