Psomas was founded in 1946 and has grown <br />into a full-service consulting finn with over 600 employees in more than 12 <br />locations. The firm's 59-year history and continued growth arc indicators of <br />Psomas' organizational stability and strength. Psomas will perform the City of <br />Santa Ana project from its Costa Mesa office. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />Psomas successfully prepared the Municipal Water District of Orange County <br />Regional Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and six retail water agency <br />UWMPs in 2000, and is cuncntly under contract with multiple agencics for 2005 <br />UWMPs. Psomas will institute a partnership with the City and has assemblcd a <br />team of profcssionals that will develop a Plan for Completion that will ensure <br />that the 2005 UWMP will be prepared in accordance with the Urban Water <br />Management Planning Act of 1983, as amended (Act). The Team's Project <br />Manager, Denise Landstedt, has numerous years of experience in water planning <br />and will lead a team of professionals, ineluding a Senior Engineer, Project <br />Engineer, and Environmental Analyst, with a proven track record in developing <br />UWMPs. The result is a team with precisely the expertise needed to deliver an <br />UWMP that meets the requirements of the Act and is considered "complete" by <br />the Department of Water Resources. <br /> <br />II <br />II <br />Ii <br />ii <br />iil <br />iil <br />iil <br />iil <br />~ <br />iil <br />iil <br />iil <br /> <br />Psomas staff will utilize their collective knowledge of the Act and its <br />amendments for 2005, regional and local water issucs, DWR UWMP workshop <br />infonnation, requirements of Senate Bills (SB) 610 and 221, DWR's Guidebook <br />for developmcnt ofUWt\lPs, D\\'R "Review for Completeness" fonns, and other <br />applicable documents to meet the requirements of a complete UWMP. <br /> <br />Psomas will work elosely and in cooperation with City staff to follow the <br />proposed Scope of Work and Schedule that meets the requirements of the Act, <br />and provides for additional time if needed: <br /> <br />Task 1.
