MWDOC provides imported water
through its member agencies to approximately 1.8 million people. Water is used
for municipal, industrial, agricultural and groundwater replenishment purposes.
A key goal of MWDOC is to provide services and programs that arc broad
reaching and that the retail agencies cannot reasonably provide as single entities.
Therefore, MWDOC became signatory to the Memorandum of Understanding
Regarding Urban Water Conservation in California in 1991, and has since
implemented many BMP programs on behalf of its member agencies.

Psomas prepared the MWDOC 2000 Regional Urban Water Management Plan
Update. Preparation included meetings with key District staff, information and
data collection, analysis of water sources, supply and demand, coordination
with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California data and programs,
and preparation of draft and final plans. Psomas prepared for and assisted in a
member agency workshop to present the Draft 2000 Regional UWMP.

2000 Urban Water Management IPI:an Development
Garden Grove, CA

Project Date
FallMlinter 2000

Client
CITY OF GARDEN GROVE
Public Works Department, Water
Services Division
13802 Newhope Street
Garden Grove, CA 92843

Contact
Richard Mathis.
