MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />September 17, 1985 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 12:32 p.m. in Rock1 831, City Hall, <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Daniel E. Griset. Councilm~mbers <br />present were Wilson B. Hart, P. Lee Johnson, R. W. Luxembourger, <br />Patricia A. Mc~uigan, Dan Young and Mayor Griset. Also present were <br />City Manager Robert C. Bobb, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper and Clerk <br />of the Council Janice C. Guy. Councilmember John Acosta joined the <br />meeting at 12:37 p.m. <br /> <br />INFORMAL COUNCIL DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Councilm~mbers discussed informally the following subjects: Police <br />SWAT/H.Y.P.E.S Program, Council Workshop Follow-Up Session, Post NLC <br />Project Tour, North Central Santa Ana Traffic Plan, Tenant Assistance, <br />Pension Financing Program, Council Committees, and the Housing Produc- <br />tion Program. <br /> <br />At 4:12 p.m., the Council recessed and reconvened at 4:28 p.m., in <br />Roc~ 147, Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, with all members <br />present. <br /> <br />Neighborhood Im~rov~nt Program <br /> <br />Lorraine Lazarine, and Darl Incledon, Neighborhood Improvement <br />Coordinators, presented a slide show demonstrating the City's <br />Neighborhood Improvament Program and a video program entitled "Write <br />On, The Story of Graffiti," depicting the City's anti-graffiti <br />efforts. <br /> <br />The City Manager indicated the Neighborhood Improvement Program formed <br />a link between City Hall and the community, and brought small groups <br />together for the purpose of improving their neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Councilmember Young expressed his opinion that anti-graffiti efforts <br />should be continued until graffiti is non-existent, and urged program <br />continuity be increased through permanent staff assigr~uents to <br />specific neighborhoods. <br /> <br />The Manager indicated that the Neighborhood Improv~uent Program would <br />be monitored by his office. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />424 <br /> <br />SEPTF~ER 17, 1985 <br /> <br /> <br />
