Counts will be conducted according to the City of Santa Ana's protocol on Tuesday, Wednesday, <br />and Thursday. Counts periods will be the peak hours requested by the City, one, two or three peek <br />periods. <br />. Field Manager checks data collection throughout the day to ensure proper procedures are being <br />followed. <br />. Field Manager collects data after evening peak count, assembles data, and draws maps of each <br />intersection to ensure accuracy of lanes. <br />. Data elements collected will be as specified in the RFP. <br />. Peak hour turning movement count sheets/data files will show 15-minute counts and hourly totals for <br />each hour counted. In addition the peak hour (the highest four (4) consecutive 15-minute counts) <br />will be determined for each counting period. <br />. For intersections, counts from all approaches can be provided separately for each approach, and/or <br />all approaches together in one print-out. The AM, mid-day, and PM peak hour and corresponding <br />volumes will also be shown for each approach. <br />. Data is turned into our office for process and formatting for delivery to City. <br />. Project Manager proofs the data for quality control before releasing to City. <br />. Data is delivered to City in accordance with the RFP requirements. <br /> <br />24-hour Vehicle Classification & Speed Counts: <br />. Same as Street Segment Counts above. <br />. Tubes are measured to ensure proper length and proper count. <br />. Data elements collected will be as specified in the RFP. <br />. Data is reviewed by Field Manager for errors. <br />. Data is turned into our office for process and formatting for delivery to City. <br />. Project Manager proofs the data for quality control before releasing to City. <br />. Data is delivered to City in accordance with the RFP. <br />. Sample data is attached below. <br /> <br />Safety <br />. Two people perform machine counts. One for traffic control and one for the setup. <br />. Bright reflective vests are worn. <br />. Vehicles are equipped with orange warning light. <br />. Tubes are pre-measured to ensure safe and speedy setup. <br />.
