MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED AND REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />October 21, 1985 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m., in Room 831, City Hall, <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Daniel E. Griset. Councilmembers <br />present were John Acosta, R. W. Luxembourger, Patricia A. McGuigan, <br />and Mayor Griset. Also present were City Manager Robert C. Bobb, City <br />Attorney ~dward J. Cooper and Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. <br />Councilmember Dan Young joined the meeting at 2:13 p.m. Council- <br />members Wilson B. Hart and P. Lee Johnson were absent. <br /> <br />Councilm~nbers informally discussed the following: the Golden City <br />Days Wine and Harvest Festival, the meeting with Judge Briseno <br />regarding the SWAT/H.Y.P.E.S. Program, the Auto Mall sign process, a <br />Council Committee system, and anti-graffiti efforts by the City. <br /> <br />At 3:26 p.m., the Council recessed and reconvened at 4:53 p.m., in <br />Roam 147, Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, with the same <br />m~nbers present. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATION STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />Technology Exchange Center <br /> <br />Hank Cunningham, Business/Industrial Development Manager, presented <br />Bill Turner, President, and Bonnie Castry, Account Executive, of <br />Technology Exchange Center who explained the firm's activities in <br />brokering between the private and education sectors to arrange skill <br />training programs. Turner responded to Councilme~ber Acosta's <br />questions regarding a recent audit of the firm. <br /> <br />1986 Legislative Program <br /> <br />Cindy Cave, Intergoveramental Relations Manager, and Lori Howard, <br />Legislative Analyst, presented an overview of the City's 1986 <br />Legislative Program (see Itam No. 20A) and responded to <br />Councilmembers' questions. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Young requested that the Intergovernmental Relations <br />Office provide an overview of Federal and local legislation, as well <br />as the State legislation contained in the current program. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br /> <br />478 <br /> <br />OCTOBER 21, 1985 <br /> <br /> <br />
