Award a contract <br />responsible bidder, <br />estimated amount of <br />and MainPlace Drive. <br /> <br />to Alliance Streetworks, Inc. , the lowest <br />in accordance with unit bid prices in the <br />$255,376 for intersection widening at Main Street <br /> <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $324,000. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />MainPlace Drive provides direct access to the Main Place shopping center <br />and other businesses in the immediate vicinity (Exhibit 1). The <br />intersection is heavily congested. <br /> <br />This project provides traffic signal modification at the intersection of <br />Main Street and MainPlace Drive, addition of an eastbound right turn lane <br />on MainPlace Drive and construction of curbs, gutters, wheel chair ramps, <br />landscaping and irrigation improvements. Once completed, these <br />improvements will improve safety and traffic flow in the area. <br /> <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on August 24 and 26, 2005, and <br />bids were opened on September 21, 2005.
