As part of the award, a portion of the funds were designated <br />for distribution to FBOs to provide employment opportunities to <br />designated populations. To meet this requirement, a Request for <br />Proposal was issued on August 1, 2005. A Public Notice was published in <br />the Orange County Register on July 30 and 31, 2005. The summary of the <br />Request for proposals is as follows: <br /> <br />6 Invitations for proposals Requested <br />1 Proposal Received <br /> <br />On September 9, 2005, the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board <br />recommended that Templo Ca1vario CDC be awarded $227,500 to fill unmet <br />community needs related to hard-to-serve populations such as ex- <br />offenders, drop-outs, limited English speakers, and welfare clients who <br />wish to get into the jOb market; and to assist in developing <br /> <br />25H-1 <br />
