COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />Councilmember McGuigan inquired as to when the report would be <br />forthccming relative to signing for Channel 3 (Council Referral 85-47); <br />the City Manager responded the report would be provided to Council by <br />January 20, 1986. <br /> <br />Councilm~ber Luxembourger inquired as to what progress was being made <br />relative to placement of additional trash containers at City bus <br />stops; the City Manager provided an update of actions taken by staff. <br /> <br />Councilmember Luxembourger inquired as to the status of the railroad <br />overcrossing at Fourth Street; the Executive Director of the Public <br />Services Agency indicated that the Grand Avenue crossing has received <br />a higher priority assignment from the State than the Fourth Street <br />overcrossing. <br /> <br />Councilm~ber Luxembourger also inquired as to the status of the <br />recrui~ent process for the Code of Appeals Board Hearing Officer; <br />City Attorney indicated the recruitment was underway. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta inquired as to who had hiring responsibility for <br />the Appeals Board attorney, and the City Attorney explained that <br />decision was made by the Appeals Board. <br /> <br />Councitm~ber Acosta inquired as to how a person residing at 4925 West <br />Roberts Drive might receive assistance with mitigating loud parties <br />in his neighborhood without filing an official complaint; the City <br />Attorney explained Police responsibilities relative to such <br />complaints. <br /> <br />Councilm~ber Acosta reported dogs running loose in the 2500 block of <br />North Flower and also at the intersection of McFadden and Bristol. <br /> <br />Councilme~ber Acosta noted that he had observed that several of the <br />Orange County Transit District bus stops created a traffic hazard <br />because they were located too close to traffic intersections, and <br />inquired as to whether they would be better located in the middle of <br />the block. The Executive Director of the Public Services Agency <br />indicated he would check the bus accident rate at intersections <br />with the Transit District, and report to Councilme~ber Acosta. <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta inquired as to when the Auto Mall sign would he <br />installed; the City Manager indicated he would provide a status report <br />on the installation in the upocming week. <br /> <br />In response to an inquiry from Councilm~mber Acosta, the City Manager <br />indicated he was m~eting with Richard Jacques on Friday relative to a <br />grant application.
