AGMTS - WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT YOUTH PROGRAM <br />SUBCONTRACTORS - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />Motion: Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and Clerk of the Council to execute agreements. <br /> <br />AGMT NO. 2005-235 - With the Orange County Children's Therapeutic <br />Arts Center to provide literacy and basic skills through technology and the <br />arts for ten out-of-school youth from October 1, 2005 through June 30, <br />2006, for an amount not to exceed $17,826 <br /> <br />AGMT NO. 2005-236 - With the California Hispanic Commission on <br />Alcohol and Drug Abuse to assist thirty out-of-school youth with substance <br />abuse problems and to find jobs from October 1, 2005 through June 30, <br />2006, for an amount not to exceed $124,679 <br /> <br />AGMT NO. 2005-237 - With the Orange County Conservation Corps to <br />provide paid on-the-job training for twenty-three high school dropouts from <br />October 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, for an amount not to exceed <br />$168,771 <br /> <br />AGMT NO. 2005-238 - With the Santa Ana Unified School District to <br />provide mentoring and paid work experience for thirty in-school youth from <br />October 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, for an amount not to exceed <br />$120,000 <br /> <br />AGMT NO. 2005-239 - With Taller San Jose to provide paid training in the <br />information technology, medical careers and construction fields for twenty <br />out-of-school youth from October 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, for an <br />amount not to exceed $147,830 <br /> <br />AGMT NO. 2005-240 - Execute an amendment to extend the current <br />Memorandum of Understanding with Santa Ana W/O/R/K Center (Service <br />Navigator) to coordinate youth service provider network services through <br />June 30, 2006, and to increase the amount by $113,365 for an amount not <br />to exceed $383,370 <br /> <br />25.F.
