MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />February 18, 1986 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 12:43 p.m. by Mayor Daniel E. <br />Griset in Room 831, City Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers <br />present were John Acosta, P. Lee Johnson, R. W. Luxembourger, <br />Patricia A. McGuigan, Dan Young and Mayor Griset. Also present were <br />City Manager Robert C. Bobb, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, and <br />Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy. Councilmember Wilson B. Hart <br />joined the meeting at 12:50 p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMAL DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Councilmembers informally discussed the following: Mobile Home <br />Rental Assistance Program, Council Workshop, Westdome Advisory <br />Committee and Consent Calendar concerns. <br /> <br />The Council recessed at 2:25 p.m., and reconvened at 3:17 p.m., with <br />all members present. <br /> <br />Modification to Council Meeting Schedule <br /> <br />By the unanimous informal consent of the Council, the beginning hour <br />for future Council meetings was set at 1:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Workshop <br /> <br />By the unanimous informal consent of the Council, a Council Workshop <br />was set for March 1, 1986 between the hours of 7:38 a.m. and <br />4:00 p.m., in the Newport Room of the Grand Plaza Hotel. <br /> <br />Downtown Parking <br /> <br />Roger Kooi, Downtown Development Director, reported to the Council <br />the results of a parking needs analysis for the downtown conducted by <br />staff. He indicated the net result after construction of all current <br />redevelopment projects would be a net loss of 828 parking spaces. <br />Kooi outlined several possibilities for increasing parking in the <br />Civic Center area, including construction of a parking structure <br />behind Eddie West Field, expanding the present City Hall parking lot <br />to three levels, constructing a second parking deck on the Hall of <br />Administration lot and utilizing an additional County lot north of <br />Civic Center Drive. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />?l <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 18, 1986 <br /> <br /> <br />
