OMB Circular A-I02; <br />. Title 28, CFR, Part 66.36; and, <br />. DOr Financial Guide, Part III, Chapter 10, <br /> <br />The state may perform periodic reviews of the grant recipient's grant <br />performance, including on-site visits, These reviews may include, but are not <br />limited to: <br /> <br />. Comparing actual grant activities to those approved on the Project <br />Narrative and Budget Worksheet. <br />. Confirming compliance with: <br />Grant Assurances; <br />- Information provided on the performance reports; <br />Urban Area Homeland Security Strategies; and, <br />- Transit Security and Emergency Preparedness Plans, <br /> <br />Record retention requirements differ for property records vs, all other grant <br />records, Refer to the following for specific requirements: <br /> <br />. Title 28, CFR, Part 66.42 <br />. DOr Financial Guide, Part III, Chapters 6 and 12 <br /> <br />In the Grant Closeout letter, the state will notify the grant recipient ofthe <br />start of the record retention period for grant related records, <br /> <br />The federal Department of Homeland Security, the DHS Office ofInspector <br />General, the Comptroller General of the United States, OHS, OES and any of <br />their authorized representatives, shall have the right of access to any books, <br />documents, papers, or other records which are pertinent to the grant, in order <br />to make audits, examinations, excerpts and transcripts, The right of access is <br />not limited to the required retention period but shall last as long as the records <br />are retained, Refer to 28 CFR 66.42 and Dor Financial Guide, Part III, <br />Chapter 12 for more information about accessibility of records. <br /> <br />Continued on next page <br /> <br />Page 35 <br /> <br />FY04 Urban Areas Security Initiative <br />
