<br />Shea Homes Residential Project Findings and Facts in Support of Findings <br />Environmental Impact Report <br /> <br />4.2.4 Impacts Related to Impacts to Hazards/Hazardous Materials <br /> <br />Potentiallv Significant Adverse Impacts Related to HazardsfHazardous Materials <br /> <br />There is slight possibility that the existing underground jet fuel line could become active. As a <br />precaution, future property owners would be disclosed of the fuel line. During construction <br />operations there is the potential that the jet fuel line could be damaged. <br /> <br />Findings Related to imDacts to HazardsfHazardous Materials <br /> <br />Mitigation measures have been incorporated into the project, which avoid or substantially lessen the <br />significant environmental effect as identified in the EIR. <br /> <br />Facts in SUIlDort of the Finding Related to lmllacts Hazards/Hazardous Materials <br /> <br />Implementation of Mitigation Measures H-l, H-2 and H-3 provided below, would substantially <br />lessen the adverse impacts of the Shea Homes Residential Project related to HazardsfHazardous <br />Materials, and would reduce this potentially significant adverse impact to below a level of <br />significance. <br /> <br />H-l During construction operations near the jet fuel pipeline, a representative from the <br />Department of Defense shall be present to monitor construction activities to ensure that no <br />damage occurs to the jet fuel line. <br /> <br />H-2 Prior to the recordation of final subdivision maps, a special disclosure statement of the <br />presence of the jet fuel line is required to be provided on subdivision maps and deeds for <br />the project. <br /> <br />H-3 Prior to issuance of grading permits the project developer shall submit to the City of Santa <br />Ana planning Division a letter from the Department of Defense and Cal Trans that <br />adequate access is provided to the Department of Defense fuel line and the Cal Trans <br />sound wall. <br /> <br />Level of Si!!nificance of lmDacts Related to HazardsfHazardous Materials <br /> <br />The adverse impacts of the Shea Homes Residential Project related to Hazards/Hazardous <br />Materials would be mitigated to below a level of significance based on the implementation of <br />Mitigation Measures H-l, H-2 and H-3, provided above. <br /> <br />4.2.5 Impacts Related to Impacts to Water Quality <br /> <br />Potentiallv Significant Adverse ImDacts Related to Water Oualitv <br /> <br />Implementation of the proposed project could potentially result short-term construction related <br />water quality impacts and long-term operational water quality impacts. <br /> <br />ResolutioRm.1J1005-107 <br />Page 21 of 38 <br />
