Additional Crossing Guard <br /> <br />William Howard, 2107 No. Broadway, ~206, addressed Council on behalf <br />of Francisca Cabrera, whose daughter had recently been killed in a <br />traffic accident, and presented a petition requesting the City of <br />Santa Aha to install a crossing guard at Walnut and Main Streets. <br /> <br />MOTION: Approve the hiring of a crossing guard for the intersection <br /> of Walnut and Main. <br /> <br />MOTION: Johnson SECOND: Acosta <br /> <br /> VOTE: AYES: Acosta, Griset, Hart, Johnson, Luxembourger, <br /> McGuigan, Young <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None FILE 1040 <br /> 500 <br />Val Fish, 1030 West Highland, addressed Council requesting assistance <br />with the abatement of a fire hazard and public nuisance adjacent to <br />his property. The City Manager informed Mr. Fish that the Council <br />had appropriated additional demolition funds at the Council's <br />afternoon session. <br /> <br />Jim Lowman, 2314 No. Bristol, addressed Council, volunteering the <br />services of 10 volunteers to drive voters to the polls on June 3, <br />1986. <br /> <br />Miles Leach, 2025 W. 10th Street, commented on the City's Street <br />Sweeping Program. <br /> <br />Sean Mill, 617 S. Starboard, producer of "Measure C-YOU Decide," <br />addressed Council critizing Sarah Broadbent and Susan Tulley of the <br />City's Charter Review Commission for their position of non-neutrality <br />with respect to Measure C. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> <br />The City Attorney indicated that no action would be taken out of <br />Closed Session. <br /> <br />COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta inquired as to when the study of the Community <br />Preservation Department would be completed; the City Manager <br />indicated that it would be provided to the Council within the next <br />two weeks. <br /> <br />In response to Councilmember Acosta's question as to when citations <br />would be issued in conjunction with the street sweeping program, the <br />City Manager responded that the issuing of citations would commence <br />on June 5, 1986. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 223 JUNE 2, 1986 <br /> <br /> <br />
