75.J. <br /> <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 86-5 - DEFINITION OF RESIDENTIAL <br />COLLECTOR STREETS AND DESIGNATION OF FLOWER STREET AS A <br />RESIDENTIAL COLLECTOR <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing on General Plan Amendment No. <br />86-5 amending the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana to include <br />Residential Collector as a Street Classification and to designate <br />Flower Street north of Seventeenth Street with this classification. <br /> <br />Traffic Engineer, George Alvarez, presented the staff reported and <br />recommendations. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council reported no written communications. <br /> <br />There were no speakers in favor of the matter. <br /> <br />John Casteix, 2111 N. Flower and Sue Stewart, 529 W. Santa Clara Ave. <br />spoke in opposition to General Plan Amendment No. 86-5. <br /> <br />There were no other speakers. <br /> <br />The Mayor closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Adopt resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-57 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO <br />INCLUDE RESIDENTIAL COLLECTOR AS A STREET CLASSIFICATION AND TO <br />DESIGNATE FLOWER STREET NORTH OF 17TH STREET WITH THIS CLASSIFICATION. <br /> <br />MOTION: Hart SECOND: McGuigan <br /> <br />VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Griset, Hart, Luxembourger, McGuigan, Young <br />Acosta, Johnson <br />None FILE 625.20 <br /> <br />At 10:02 p.m. the Council recessed to Closed Session. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />The Clerk announced that the Council was recessing to Closed Session <br />pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to confer with the <br />City Attorney regarding pending litigation which had been initiated <br />formally and to which the city was a party, to wit: Haiber vs. City <br />of Santa Ana (Workers Compensation), Lamphear vs. City of Santa Ana <br />(Workers Compensation), Pena vs. City of Santa Ana (Workers <br />Compensation) Ramsey vs. City of Santa Ana (Workers Compensation) and <br />Gibson vs. City of Santa Ana; and pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54957 to consider personnel matters. <br /> <br />At 10:23 p.m. the Council reconvened with all members present. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 236 JUNE 16, 1986 <br /> <br /> <br />
